Our Neuters ----and neuters for sale

As many of our visitors will know we realised many years ago that our neutered Girls and Boys can have a more comfortable happy life as family pets than in our breeding community,   (where they occupy a place in cat hierarchy which is less than superior !)  When we do find the right home we only charge enough to cover the cost of neutering, health check and booster.

After that you will read the 'success 'stories---delighted owners and very happy spoilt cats. We are always really happy to realise that both the girls and their new family benefit from this decision which is not easy for us!! These are stories and pictures from some of them.

At the moment we have no girls waiting for new homes. Latest addition to the page is Harry below.

Tales and photos in their new homes.

Hello everyone, Jenny here. I’ve now been in Stirling with my new “humans” for a couple of weeks and they’re doing well. I spent the first couple of days getting used to my new surroundings and finding all the different places in the house that were the warmest and the cosiest – my favourite place so far is my human's bed, it’s really very funny watching them trying to fit round me!! One complaint I did have, which thankfully is now sorted is my fish being cooked in the microwave; I prefer it boiled but they got the message fairly quickly. I’m getting lost of cuddles and fussing which as you all know I really enjoy – I love to watch the “rivalry” between my mum and dad to see who’s knee I’m going to sit on. I do try and be fair and give them each a chance to cuddle me.   I am really looking forward to my retirement and settling down to a kitten free life!!                 Love Jenny

                         Maisie

I am Maisie pussy cat with round and golden eyes,
My fur is blue and very soft and I am very shy,
I love my Mum n Daddy, and James and Gareth too,
They think I am a super cat and
Grandad thinks so too,
I like to sit on top of things that are very, very high,
It makes me feel like God must feel while watching from the sky,
I was born and lived in Glasgow, though I'm a British Blue,
My daddy saw me on the net and thought that I would do,
I like to lay upon my back with my paws towards the sky,
So I can have my tummy rubbed by all who pass me by.

Hi Mum 1,

My new family have not been in touch for a while so I thought that I would drop you a line. Well I am settled in now, and I  really am enjoying myself.

I sleep most of the day in between annoying Gizmo and playing chases with Aidan, who I normally manage to outrun.

Oh! Gizmo is a Conure, we have a great relationship, I strut around as if I own the place and he peers at me through the bars of his cage. That’s him to the left, he really is a big softy.

This laid back life must suit me, I have put on some weight, my coat is smooth and shiny and the vet says that I am a picture of health.

As you can see I like nothing better than stretching out in front of the fire, but I curl up in one of my baskets when I want a bit of peace and quiet, or, better still,  if Aidan is not around I borrow his cot.

I’ve got lots of new toys and I keep all the humans busy throwing things for me to fetch and play with, well when I feel like it.

It appears to make them happy.

I also like to play with Aidans cuddly toys and drag them from room to room, normally at night when everyone is sleeping, then I watch them trip over them in the morning!

I have been keeping up to date with all my old friends via your web site and I hope that they are all as contented and happy as I am.

I will keep in touch.                                                                    Love Kirsty

Fowler and Mr OJ

Dear Win & Max  - Status Report 2008

I thought I would give you a considered view at the end of Janet and John's probation.

Yes, it's 1 year today that I came down on the train.  It took me a few days to settle but they were soon beginning to understand my needs.  The food is excellent and plentiful - I'm up to around 5.4 kg whatever  that means.

There are plenty of good views - a choice of 5 windowsills, 2 of them permanently, even when the alarm is on.  The bed is kingsize and can comfortably accommodate the 4 of us cats - but sometimes it's a bit of a squeeze at night when Janet and John want to use it [why can't they go elsewhere?] - but we've another room to ourselves, with sofa, chair and hammock so it's not really too bad.

And the play-station is on 4 levels, with rope to climb and chew, a box to hide in and a very high shelf from which I can look very superior - which of course I am.

I've not had much call to evaluate the quality of the vets, because I needed only my annual vaccination, but they did confirm that 70 pages of medical records had arrived from Glasgow, so if anything does go wrong they'll know where to start.

I'm really fond of my big brother OJ - do you think if I eat enough I could get to be as big as him?  I'm prepared to try. We go around the house together and sometimes we feel like a 2-tone-grey cat with 8 legs.  He's like my big protector - not that there's been anything to protect me from just yet.

All in all I think they're passed the probationary period and I've decided to stay - they really do have a good understanding of what we cats need and like.

Well now, it will soon be time for breakfast - and I never let them forget that I'm "two-breakfasts"  Fowler - and then it will be time for the morning nap before lunch and another hectic day of eating and sleeping.  We cats have it to do.

So, I thought you'd like to know what a good place I've come to, that I'm totally settled and really happy here - thank you for taking such good care of me when I was unwell, and sorting out such a brilliant place for me to come to.

Yours etc.       Finches Fowler Loismhor (and Mr OJ)   -    PS -  and my regards to the girls

Chrissie has now joined Fowler and OJ !

Dear Win and Max, I thought it was high time I gave you a progress report from my new home in Leyland. You'll be pleased to know I have settled in very well indeed.  As there is so much to explore I only sleep properly at night (next to Janet, on her pillow), and only pretend to sleep during the day so that in a flash I can be 'where the action is' and not miss anything.  My other four feline friends are all fine with me and let me use the play stations and numerous soft toys.  Fowler occasionally has words with me - he thinks I'm after OJ's affections - but he should know I'm done with all that stuff - give me food and biscuits any-day!In my short time here I've been the instigator of a few changes - for example there are now no plants in the conservatory or flowers in the lounge (consequently visitors are heard to comment on the beautiful floral arrangement on the shelf above the toilet and the display of basil, coriander and parsley plants on the bathroom window sill -places I can't go).  This is because of my enjoyment of all things 'green' - even the top of pineapples!  The words 'good thing we live in a bungalow' seem to have become a mantra. I have a good appetite - when I first arrived I sat patiently waiting for my bowl - but now I shout with the rest of them.  I love following Janet and John around and sitting on the newspaper they're reading - or helping with the crossword.  They say that out of the 17 cats that have lived with them through their married life they've never had one like me - BIG compliment, eh?

Yours with great affection, Chrissie.

HARRY  -  Harry left for his new home on 17th November. Many of you will remember his signature pics below. He is now well into his 7th year and is a model example of how well behaved a stud boy can become after his wee operation:

"Hi Win & Max and not forgetting all my pals at Loismhor,

I am loving it here. I have lots of toys to play with and even my new Mum and Dad love playing with me too.

It's so cosy and warm here and I can see the snow outside so I'm glad I don't have to go out, b'rrr  it looks so coooold. My new sister is still a bit cautious of me but I am so gentle and nice to her, we are getting there I think!. I have settled in just fine and I have many beds to lie on, upstairs and downstairs. I can pick anywhere I want - its great. So this retired life just suits me down to the ground.  I want to say thank you for the time I had with you, and I have to tell you that I am behaving and being a credit to you".
